The Miner's Daughter
or... Evil Reaps Its Just Reward Author(s):
Shubert Fendrich
This melodrama classic is both easy to produce and highly entertaining. The villain, Jackpot Slade, tries to take over Barney McDougle's gold mine. He attempts to remove McDougle by means of poison, which is mistakenly consumed by a visiting temperance worker. Sheriff Harold Strongheart is called to the scene to investigate the crime and together with the heroine, Clementine McDougle (the miner's daughter), they unearth the evidence that pins the crime on the villain who is, of course, "foiled again." melodrama comedy participation time.a cast.b
